OUR HISTORY
Derrick Tatum, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, had a successful football career that spanned from high school to the professional level. As a high school player, he achieved the prestigious title of High School All-American at the running back position. Following his high school career, Tatum attended the University of Kentucky, where he played football for four years from 1999 to 2003.
After his college career, Tatum had the opportunity to play in the NFL. He joined the Tennessee Titans in 2003 and later played for the Seattle Seahawks in 2004. However, it was during his time as a player that Tatum recognized a gap in the development of football athletes, both mentally and physically. This realization inspired him to start Elite Talent, a comprehensive football program that aimed to address this gap.
After his college career, Tatum had the opportunity to play in the NFL. He joined the Tennessee Titans in 2003 and later played for the Seattle Seahawks in 2004. However, it was during his time as a player that Tatum recognized a gap in the development of football athletes, both mentally and physically. This realization inspired him to start Elite Talent, a comprehensive football program that aimed to address this gap.
Elite Talent Football covers various aspects of the football process. It offers high-intensity training, mentorship programs to develop the student mindset, assistance with the recruiting process for both parents and students, college visits, and 7v7 competition opportunities. Tatum’s program has been successful, with over 220 students from the Elite Talents program going on to college in the past eight years. Additionally, more than 500 students have received offers after attending camps hosted by Derrick Tatum, such as the Elite GA Showcase, Adidas GA Showcase, and NCEC National College Evaluation Camps.
Beyond his work with Elite Talent, Derrick Tatum has also taken on the role of Director National Director for Middle School Tackle Football and the US Army Bowl. He has become a motivational speaker and works with youth not only in Georgia but also across the United States. Tatum’s dedication to the development of young football players and his contributions to the sport have made a significant impact in the football community.

Derrick Tatum Head Trainer-Defensive Back and Linebacker Coach
Truly one of the Best Trainers of Defensive Backs in the Country-Derrick Tatum a Cleveland native and football Star in High school in Ohio. Derrick Tatum was All-State in 2 positions, Safety and Running Back and High School All-American. He went on to play at the University of Kentucky. He also played in the NFL for Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks, and Arena ball For New York Dragons and the Georgia Force. He has been coaching for the last 7 years. He has helped develop athletes into Elite players, while mentoring these young men to become successful in life. His Motto is, “In order to be the best you have to train to be the best”. He focuses on the fundamentals and techniques of playing football, and acting with respect and integrity outside of football.
